Jeep Factory Service Advisories & Field Notes

P0128 Thermostat Plastic Housing on 3.6L Pentastar

The factory plastic thermostat housing warps and cracks, allowing coolant to bypass the thermostat valve. Always replace with an updated aluminum aftermarket housing assembly.

P0456 ESIM Switch on Wrangler/Grand Cherokee

Jeep uses an Evaporative System Integrity Module (ESIM) attached directly to the charcoal canister. The internal rubber flapper valve sticks with trail dust, setting false small leak codes. Replacing the inexpensive ESIM switch (#4861962AA) fixes 80% of P0456 codes.
